Volunteers
Volunteers play an essential role throughout this event. Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of Game Developers Conference® Online 2010! Attend GDC Online 2010 by becoming a Conference Volunteer. Volunteering not only allows you to meet and mingle with other developers; it allows you to attend conference sessions and events in exchange for your work.
A minimum of 20 hours of service is required, in exchange for an All-Access pass to the event.
Volunteer registration is closed.
Volunteer Commitment
- Volunteers need to be available during the entire conference dates, including the mandatory volunteer training session on Monday, October 4 at 1pm. An exact volunteer's schedule & assignments will be given to you closer to the event.
Duties Include
- Monitoring conference sessions
- Stuffing conference bags
- Distribute and collect speaker evaluations
- Provide assistance to the instructors, as needed (distributing handouts, calling on technical support, etc)
- Checking badges at breaks and special events
- Assisting conference attendees with their questions
- Handle miscellaneous projects as needed
Conference Information
- Volunteer Dates: Tuesday, October 5–Friday, October 8, 2010
- Mandatory volunteer training session is Monday, October 4 starting at 1pm
- Location: Austin Convention Center, Austin, TX
- Volunteer Hours (a minimum of 20 hours of service will be required during the following hours):
- Conference Days: Approximately 7am-5:30pm (specific hours will be assigned)
- Evening Events: Approximately 4:30pm-10pm (specific hours will be assigned)
**Please note: Acceptance into the volunteer program, along with the volunteer's schedule and assignments, will be made in accordance with the needs of conference management.
